March 2011

Weekly Newsletter: 3-31-11

Check the Chamber calendar on the cover for major April events– these  activities are both fun and informative.  Also in this newsletter issue is a personal appeal from a Chamber member and past president for Japanese Tsunami Relief (page 1).  And please note the number of workshops and seminars for the business community to help improve your company (page 2). With the coming of Spring, a wide range of activities is being planned in the great outdoors, as well as inside, that you and your family will want to attend.  Let the Windsor Chamber Business Bulletin be your guide to local and nearby events throughout the year.

Weekly Newsletter: 3-24-11

This week’s newsletter highlights the grand opening this Saturday of Togo’s Great Sandwiches in the Lakewood Shopping Center at 10:30 a.m. – hope you can attend (rain or shine).  Also, our next Business After Hours will be at Cold Stone Creamery in the Shiloh Center March 29 from 5-7 p.m.  The date for ABC license training has been changed from March 21 to April 21.   And members have only one week left to sign up for Herb Liberman’s next business workshop – “How to Increase Sales through Successful Customer Service Strategies” scheduled for March 31.

Weekly Newsletter: 3-17-11

Your Chamber is getting ready for the summer by forming a special committee to manage concessions.  Please consider joining this group and participating in one or more of the six venues.  ABC training is being conducted March 21 as part of this program.   A list of concerts on the Green is included in this issue with the Chamber events shown in bold face.  Two business –focused workshops will take place soon – one on March 31 with Herb Liberman talking about How You Can Increase Sales Through Successful Customer Service Strategies and a second on April 29 with Vicki Norris about how to develop an effective website.

More exciting opportunities are being added to our agenda in the months ahead – including a booth at the Windsor Day Parade with a full day of activities on the Green, as well as the Walk for Autism, the Senior Games and other events.

Advertising Opportunity

On the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, think about inserting a “rainbow of color” advertisement in the April E-News to attract customers -- and fill your pot of gold!  Consumers are spending more these days than  they have on average over the past three years, so the time is right to make a big impression with a full-page ad in the Chamber’s monthly E-News that reaches some 300 key businesses in Windsor as well as those in a 30-mile radius.

The Chamber’s online magazine is directed to a broad audience from Petaluma to Cloverdale and includes members in Solano and Napa Counties as well as Sonoma.  What’s more, the pass along rate for E-News – people sending the online news to friends and colleagues – extends awareness of your brand, product or service to even more customers and prospects each month.

Weekly Newsletter: 3-10-11

This week’s newsletter features a preview of the special ribbon cutting and reception at the new Himalayan Restaurant on Monday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. Owner Rabin Lama is planning to offer guests a variety of samples from his extensive menu.  You won’t want to miss this exclusive, closed-door event for Chamber members and invited guests!  The next day, at the March 15 membership luncheon at Denny’s, you will enjoy hearing about 10 Hot Tips for Business Success from Herb Liberman.  Herb will be back March 31 for a Chamber workshop focusing on How to Increase Sales Through Successful Customer Service Strategies, sponsored by the Town of Windsor and the Small Business Development Center at SRJC.

Weekly Newsletter: 3-3-11
