March 2019 Membership Luncheon –
Small Claims, Big Pains with Natalie Norman, Esq

About “Small Claims, Big Pains”
Small claims lawsuits are anything but small, in fact, they can be a big pain! Disputes can range from a few hundred dollars up to $10,000, and can carry additional costs of permanently damaged business-merchant relationships, negative online reviews, black marks on your credit report, or missed future business by word-of-mouth reputation.

In this presentation you will learn more about what often drives people to file lawsuits, how you might be able to avoid going to court, and how mediation can effectively help parties settle litigated disputes, thereby avoiding the risk of having a public judgement on their record, damaging credit, or further damaging their valuable business reputation.

If you are a local business or consumer who wants to avoid litigating small claims disputes, this is a presentation you won't want to miss!

Natalie Norman, JD, is an attorney, certified mediator, and arbitrator. She has successfully settled hundreds of litigated matters and also serves as the Executive Director of RECOURSE Mediation Services, Sonoma County's largest longstanding nonprofit community mediation center.
