Let's Connect Windsor!

The Town of Windsor is inviting the community to provide input on ways to improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity between east and west Windsor. The Connecting Windsor Study will explore creating a more efficient route for cyclists and pedestrians to cross Highway 101, improving the existing Old Redwood Highway underpass, and expanding the existing bike/ped network in downtown Windsor.

Join a public workshop to learn more about the Study and provide input on design goals and priorities.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 6:00pm-8pm at the Windsor Senior Center, 9231 Foxwood Drive.

Windsor Bloco to represent Town in Super Bowl 50 Festivities

Windsor Bloco musicians will be playing at Super Bowl 50 in early February.  Eight members of the local drumming group will be joining brethren from the San Francisco-based Loco Bloco for a performance on Wednesday February 3rd.

Windsor Bloco's chance to head to the city for the performance came thanks to Town's Parks and Recreation Director Donna Legge, one of 2,000 volunteers for Super Bowl City. Donna was at an orientation and organizers mentioned that they were lining up entertainment. "I asked if they needed more and they said, "Yes," Legge said. "I thought of Windsor Bloco because they're from Windsor and it would put us on the map, showcasing our own kids and talent."  "They are extremely entertaining, loud and very positive and I thought it would be a good match for them."

Windsor Bloco's performance is set for February 3rd, noon, at Sue Bierman Park, 216 Drumm St., San Francisco.
